Our Mission

To make body shape and sizing easy to understand, so you can shop, dress, and plan with confidence.

Clothing sizes change from brand to brand, and a size label says very little about how a garment will fit your proportions. Body Type Calculator looks at how your bust, waist, and hips relate to one another, and turns those numbers into a clear, easy-to-read result.

We want that result to be useful, not judgmental. Body shape describes proportions. It does not describe attractiveness, fitness, or health, and every shape has its own strengths and styling options.

What We Do

The calculator turns a few tape measurements into a result you can use right away.

1

You measure

Take your bust or chest, waist, and hip measurements with a soft tape.

2

You enter them

Type them in or use the sliders. Inches and centimetres both work, for women and men.

3

You see your shape

Get your closest body shape, key ratios, and a drawing that updates as you change the numbers.

4

You use the result

Read the advantages, disadvantages, and styling ideas for your shape, then copy a link or download a PDF.

What We Stand For

A few simple principles guide how the tool and the guides are written.

Free for everyone

The calculator and the guides are free to use. You do not need an account.

Privacy first

Everything is calculated in your browser, and your measurements are not sent anywhere.

Proportions, not judgment

Shapes are patterns that help explain fit. There is no best body type, and we do not rank them.

Honest about limits

Different tools use different cut-offs, so we show the rules behind each result and say when it is only a guide.

How We Write Our Guides

Clear language, visible rules, and a reminder that a shape is only a starting point.

Our guides explain body shapes in plain language and use commonly cited rules of thumb, such as how close the bust and hips are, and how much smaller the waist is. We show these thresholds so you can see how a result is reached.

Because there is no single official formula, borderline measurements can give different results on different tools. If your numbers fall between two shapes, that is normal, and you can use the styling ideas from both.

Each guide shows a "Last updated" date, and we revisit pages when something needs correcting or improving.

Important

Body Type Calculator is for education and style guidance only. It does not diagnose health, weight status, or medical risk. If you have health concerns, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

Quick Answers

Is the calculator really free?

Yes. You can use the calculator and read the guides without paying or creating an account.

Do you save my measurements?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere. If you use the "Copy link" button, your numbers are added to the link, so they are visible to anyone you share it with.

Is this medical advice?

No. Body shape describes proportions only. It cannot show your health or your individual risks. A healthcare professional can tell you more about your own health.

Who is the calculator for?

Anyone who wants to understand their proportions for clothing, styling, or tracking changes. It has a female mode and a male mode, and works in inches or centimetres.

Ready to Find Your Shape?

It takes about a minute. Grab a tape measure, enter your numbers, and see your result.
